Dr. Andrea Howard

Veterinarian & Owner

Dr. Howard is the founder and director of Wasatch Hollow Animal Hospital. She was born in Argentina, where she pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian in 1992 at the University of Buenos Aires.

Previously, she had her own practice in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Later, she worked as a veterinarian at several small animal hospitals in Montgomery (AL), Abilene (TX), Albuquerque (NM), and Utah, moving across the country with her family. She also served as a civilian veterinarian at Maxwell AFB (AL) and Kirtland AFB (NM), caring for pets of military families and military working dogs.

Since moving to Utah in 2010, she has worked at Northern Utah Animal ER in Sunset (UT), where she became Medical Director until 2014.

Dr. Howard is a passionate and dedicated veterinarian with special interests in veterinary dentistry, minimally invasive surgery, and emergency veterinary medicine. Currently, she is pursuing her veterinary dentistry certification at the prestigious ESAVS (European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies). This program has provided her with extensive knowledge in animal dental health, allowing her to address a wide range of dental issues and improve the overall well-being of her patients.

In addition to her focus on veterinary dentistry, Dr. Howard has gained proficiency in using advanced techniques and technologies to perform surgeries with minimal trauma—reducing post-operative pain and promoting faster recovery for her patients.

She also has a strong interest in emergency veterinary medicine, with the skills and experience necessary to handle critical situations and provide immediate, life-saving care to animals in need.

By combining her passion for dentistry, minimally invasive surgery, and emergency care, Dr. Howard’s dedication to continuous learning and professional development enables her to provide the highest level of care to her patients—making a positive impact on the lives of animals and their owners.

Dr. Howard is obsessed with Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd dogs. She also enjoys HAM radio, spending time in the Wasatch Range mountains, and oil painting. She lives in South Ogden with her two daughters and several furry (and feathered!) family members—two parrots, six cats, four dogs, two snakes, and a flock of chickens.

Hospital Managers

Brittany Stribling

Practice Manager/Lead Technician

With over 18 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Brit Stribling has dedicated her career to keeping tails wagging, eyes shining, and hearts (both human and animal) full. From emergency medicine to ophthalmology, surgery, and general practice, she’s seen it all—sometimes at 2 a.m. with a coffee in one hand and a stethoscope in the other. Her passion for rescue work has led to life-saving efforts for over 100,000 cats, which means she’s probably been covered in more fur than the average lint roller can handle.

Currently, Brit resides in Texas, remotely managing her veterinary hospital with the same efficiency as a well-trained Border Collie. Though she’s miles away, the hospital continues to run smoothly under her watchful eye (no zoomies allowed in the clinic, unless you’re a happy patient). While she misses Utah dearly, she makes a monthly pilgrimage back to spend time with her incredible staff—who definitely have a countdown clock for her arrival. Whether they’re tracking the days until her bad jokes, incredible singing, and even more incredible dance moves, or just waiting for the moment they can hand her a stethoscope and put her to work, it warms her heart. Being able to jump back into patient care, cuddle and love on her furry (and sometimes feathery) patients, and keep her nursing skills sharp makes every trip back to Utah completely worth it.

When not working remotely or experiencing FOMO about missing the action at the hospital, Brit is busy wrangling her farm full of feathered and furry friends—including chickens, two turkeys, five dogs, five cats, three tortoises, and a snake. Oh, and let’s not forget her three children, who keep her just as busy as the animals (but with slightly fewer feathers). If she’s not elbow-deep in farm life, you’ll probably find her nose in a book or unwinding with an episode of Bluey—because sometimes, you just need a little wholesome chaos to end the day.

Wasatch Hollow is a wonderful clinic. The vets, techs, and office staff who work here are so caring and truly have the animals best interest in mind always. They were able to squeeze my dog in last minute for an emergency appointment. They offered not only compassion but multiple treatment options to help him. Not only do they care for their clients, they do a ton for the local community.

They took care of us and made sure to fix our emergency issue quickly. We came in at closing time on Tuesday and had an appt for the next morning right away. They did all her bloodwork the night before so she could go straight into operation. Our girl is 4 days out from her surgery (multiple tooth extraction) and doing great.

We recently switch over to Wasatch Hollow from another vet in the area. We have a diabetic dog who just had cataract surgery and one with severe allergies. Both of our dogs seen DR. McClellan. He was very good with both of them and answered all of our questions. They accepted all of the medical records from the former vet which made getting medication refills quickly. They did not require to repeat tests that were just done on both dogs. I would highly recommend this place.

I had to go here for the hardest thing a pet owner could do which was have my dog put down. They have shown such compassion and sympathy unlike any I've seen from a vet. Thank you guys for helping me through such a hard time.

Great experience for my cat Mango. Dr. Blaine and nurses were very friendly and thorough. She reassured that my cat seemed healthy but also explained further procedures that could be looked into. They also called the next day to ask if I had follow up questions. Would recommend!

Absolutely incredible staff. This was my first vet appointment in a long time, and my first appointment with Wasatch Hallow. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly and helpful. Dr. Blain was very nice and smart and helped address my concerns with my dog Chip, and cat Arthur. My nurse (I didn’t catch her name) was incredibly transparent about recommendations for my furry family, and was able to give me costs for all the things I needed to protect my loved ones and updated my totals as we went along . Thank you guys so much!

Our dog had a surgical procedure done at Wasatch Hollow. It was our first visit with this clinic, and so we were feeling a bit tentative. The quality of the surgical work and follow up were very impressive. Thank you, Wasatch Hollow, for doing excellent work.
